Dr. Peter Morse

PeterMorseWe remember Dr. Peter Morse (1930 – 2019)

Dr Peter Morse was a most trusted family physician, who started Thornhill Medical Centre in 1958. From delivering babies, to doing psychotherapy, he exercised all aspects of family practice to support his patients and was a respected member of the medical community. He was a role model for the next generation of family physicians, instilling values of kindness, patience, compassion and holistic care.  He retired in 1995 after 37 years of dedicated practice at which time his daughter, Janet and son-in-law Darren, joined Thornhill Medical Centre.

Peter and his wife, Joan were active in the community, through their own lives and those of their children. He was an avid tennis player, skier and loved the outdoors. He was predeceased by his dear wife, Joan. He was proud father of Michael (Heather Nicol), Janet (Darren Larsen) and Jonathan (Ginette Fisher), and very proud Poppa to Graeme, Lauren and Jeremy Larsen, and Kathryn, Andrew, Ben, Sasha and Theo Morse. He is survived by his sister, Muriel Stone.

He touched so many in our community. He will be sorely missed.

Donations can be made to Hill House Hospice (HillHouseHospice.com), or Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca). Condolences may be made at www.rskane.ca

Prescription Refill Reminders and Fragrance-Free Office

Please be aware of your prescription refill needs each time you come to see your physician in person. Ask your physician for enough refills till you are next expected to be seen in the office.

The volume of faxed prescription renewals and urgency of these requests are becoming problematic. Please assist by noting your refill needs early.  There is a 5 day turnaround for fax prescription renewals. Your pharmacist may be able to advance you a few days’ supply if urgently required for some types of medications.

We would also like to remind our patients that we are a fragrance-free office. Thank you for your consideration.

E-booking and Secure Email

We are inviting all our patients to participate in our Health Myself portal. This is a website to allow online appointment bookings and is a secure way to get messages out to our patients.  Once you are registered, you will also receive automatic appointment reminders by email and occasional updates about our office hours and policies.

If you have NOT received your invitation, please call us to let us know. 905-889-3634

If you have changed your email address, please login to Health Myself to update your settings.

If you have trouble remembering your password, use the “Tech Support” button within the Health Myself website for assistance.
